End to end application design

We provide a range of design services for an entire project, or any aspect of it. From strategy and product ideation, through to delivery and post-launch product evolution, our main disciplines include:

Ideation

We take you from concept to insight. To truly reach and engage with people, you first have to understand them. Our quantitative and qualitative user research answers the essential questions: Who are the users? What do they do? How to they do it? Our audience segmentation and user personas ensure that designs always hit the mark.

Interface Design

We follow best practices in User Centred Design (UCD). We start with simple, inexpensive wireframes to tackle information, functionality and layout. We progress to full-blown visual design comps, your accurate reference for the look and feel of the product. We also produce interactive redlines, which save on development costs.

Prototyping

We optionally build fully interactive prototypes of the complete product or service, or any aspect of it. These are valuable as a Proof of Concept (POC) to help stakeholders appreciate the interaction of innovative design. We also use prototypes as the basis for usability testing and report a detailed analysis trial findings and recommendations.

Accessibility

Our comprehensive accessibility audits cover any digital platform, including mobile, ensuring legal compliance worldwide. We work to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as the internationally accepted measure. Our detailed reports track points of failure (each with impact severity) and provide example code fixes.

Productivity and value – our guarantee

Late delivery and cost overruns are unacceptable. Our pledge to you is a simple one: that you will receive designs of the highest quality and benefit from exceptional productivity and value. Guaranteed.

Fixed-price quote   This gives you the comfort of knowing exactly how much a project will cost and how payments will be phased.

We will sit down with you and agree a rate card that will be applied across the entire project and a suitable schedule.

Time and Materials   For large and ongoing projects, you will probably be operating on a T&M basis. This is useful if you need us to design only part of a much larger programme.

Our day rates are very competitive, starting at only £95 per hour.

Bench days   When you need access to UX expertise, but cannot justify the outlay for FTE resourcing, bench days may be your best bet.

Put simply, you commit to purchasing a set number of days over year, and then can use the expertise whenever you need it.

Pro bono   We regularly engage with clients on a pro bono basis. This is particularly true for the charity and education sectors.

We may offer our services at reduced rate – even gratis – or deferred costs. Contact us as we will happily discuss the possibilities.
